He graduated from instrumental music course of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1975, and graduated from master course in 1977.
In 1980, he was sent Wien for one year as one of the students studying abroad of Culture Agency of Japanese Government, and learned clarinet parformance from A. Prinz.
Not only as a clarinet player, but as a excellent director, he spends very busy time. He leads many amateur wind bands of the whole country.
